True to its name, Aman-oka is a “peaceful home” of exquisite design and restful ambiance. Quiet interiors by textures of teak, bamboo, and stone from Jamaica, China, and Indonesia. Delicate orchids accessorize every room and bath. Lily ponds, fountains, and gardens, and more orchids grace the exterior. The garden  is truly beautiful, and the outside entertaining space is extraordinary.

The villa compound consists of the Main Villa and The Annex … linked by a landscaped walkway through an interior courtyard.

Each day begins with fresh-squeezed orange juice and fresh-ground Blue Mountain coffee, fruit, bagels, and muffins on the verandah buffet followed by a full breakfast when all guests are ready. Extraordinary lunches and memorable candlelight dinners are served on the al fresco verandah or waterfront deck. Cocktail hour canapés and hors d’oeuvres are offered each evening around the verandah bar. The chef will also plan a torchlight beach party with chicken, chops, steaks, fresh fish, or lobster served to sizzle from the outdoor coal grill.

Unique to to the villa is its floating spa in a tropical pavilion. The spa sits on a landscaped lily pond bordered by soothing waterfalls. Spa treatments by holistic specialists are available for various fees. Adjacent to the spa is the air-conditioned gym with Precor Elliptical, treadmill, free weights, fitness DVDs, balls, mats, and music.

The state of the art kitchen has a 6-burner gas stove, Jenn-Air double oven, microwave, dishwasher, bottled water server, and gas grill.

Kayaks and snorkel gear are complimentary. In lively Ocho Rios, 30 minutes from Amanoka, are nightlife, restaurants, shops, open-air craft markets, more water sports, rafting, jitney tours of a working plantation, and dramatic Dunn’s River Falls. Driving time from the Montego Bay airport to Amanoka is approximately 60 minutes, well worth the drive along a gorgeous seascape. The eastern shore of Discovery Bay, with its lovely villas and cottages, is colloquially known as “The Riviera” , one of Jamaica’s treasures.

Puerto Seco Beach – Complimentary to guests on Discovery Bay
Located near the entrance of Fortlands Road (a 10–15-minute walk or 3-minute drive from your villa), is the newest water park & beach club on the North Coast.  For various fees, guests may enjoy the large aqua park, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaks & paddle boards. The club hosts a full-service bar and restaurant and private beach cabanas or sun loungers for rent.

Within the villa’s walled compound, color bursts from a tropical garden filled with exotic orchids and sensuous lily ponds. The garden’s manicured lawns flows onto the villa’s own white sand beach, and turquoise bay. On the water’s edge, you will find an island gazebo with swimming “sky-chairs”, perfect for lounging away the day or watching the sun set over the Caribbean Sea.

The interior designer for this villa has used wonderful textures and natural bamboo, a tasteful blend of Caribbean and Indonesian style, the villa’s décor is pleasing to both the eye and spirit. The villa reflects a most elegant yet comfortable and restful atmosphere.

The gardens are well kept and include lovely lily ponds and fountains. Cradled in the lush embrace of this garden is the main villa with 3 ensuite bedrooms. The entrance hall, great room and dining area open onto a spacious deck complete with a bamboo pavilion, 10-person Jacuzzi, an infinity edge pool, and comfortable lounge chairs.

Outfitted with a satellite TV, surround sound Bose music system that filters soothing sounds throughout the house and grounds, a DVD player with a selection of movies, and a computer with internet access, Amanoka offers every modern amenity.

For sports enthusiasts, the villa has its own kayaks as well as an assortment of snorkeling gear. Yoga classes and spa treatments are also available on request.

The professional chef here have made the most wonderful lunches and dinners, exquisite cuisine. A team of 6 staff members, including two chefs and a butler, attends to your every need and wish. This villa is also perfect for a beach party and for this, the out door grill can be used by the chef if you would like. Inside however, the chef has a state of the art kitchen with commercial 6 burner gas stove. This chef lacks nothing to make you the most wonderful meals .

From the ultra modern kitchen the team will tempt and treat your taste buds to an array of mouth-watering island delicacies that can be enjoyed in the dining pavilion or al fresco on the deck looking out to sea. There is a very convenient wet bar which adjoins the pool deck, the butler will quench your thirst with scrumptious cocktails served throughout the day and night.

Visit this unique Jamaican villa and you will agree it was aptly named. A vacation spent at Amanoka will leave you feeling graciously pampered, luxuriously accommodated and without a doubt, completely relaxed and at peace. Unfortunately, no weddings are permitted at Amanoka.

Two beautiful pavilions are currently being constructed to house brand new gym and spa facilities. Both pavilions are within a lushly landscaped walled garden and seem to float on a huge pond with waterfalls and lilies. They are very open with large glass doors on 3 sides. Fans and air conditioners are provided for our guests’ comfort.

The gym is 16′ x 16′ and will have a Precor elliptical machine, treadmill, free weights and inclined bench, music, T.V., exercise DVDs and mats and balls.

A yoga instructor can be provided at an extra cost if booked in advance. The spa pavilion is also 16×16. Outside is a covered trellis for wet treatments and a large open air rain shower. Treatments will be provided by Linda Hall of Oshun Dream Spa. Linda is a very highly trained therapist from the U.K. She concocts her very own scrubs, wraps and massage oils from fresh Jamaican herbs, flowers and spices. A list of treatments and the cost will follow shortly. We ask that you encourage your clients to book treatments in advance to avoid disappointment.

With new gym facilities, you will have a most luxurious 7th bedroom which will be furnished with a queen sized bamboo bed. This will give Amanoka 7 bedrooms and 7 ½ baths. All bedrooms are suitable for couples.
