Located on Runaway Bay, Spanish Cove is perched on a beautiful sandy beach nearby the heart of town. Runaway Bay is known for beautiful beaches, coral reefs, excellent scuba diving as well as the well-known Green Grotto Caves. It is also conveniently located and within easy reach of Ocho Rios for restaurants, excursions, and shopping.
The coral reef off shore creates a natural lagoon and prevents easy access to the deeper sea, making it very safe for children to swim. A large secluded free form, fresh water pool and deck surrounded by tropical foliage, is the perfect place to sunbathe and enjoy the great Caribbean breezes
The villa offers 4 air conditioned bedrooms and 4 baths and is located close to the road to maximize the beach front and gardens. The expansive veranda and comfortable living room look out to the Caribbean Sea and garden. Meals are served casually on the veranda or in the dining room. All four air conditioned bedrooms are tastefully decorated with bathrooms ensuite. Two of the bedrooms open directly into a terrace patio leading to the pool and private beach.
The sandy beach runs the entire length of the property and has a gradual water entrance ideal for small children. The villa offers two bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs.
The bedrooms downstairs are ideal for kids as you pass through one bedroom to get to the next bedroom with a king-sized bed and own ensuite bathroom. Both bedrooms downstairs open out onto the gardens and directly to the ocean front. Spanish Cove amenities include a full staff of cook and housekeeper, fresh water private pool, large yard area, beach front, Barbeque grill.
There is a large upstairs verandah which is furnished and perfect for lazing around, reading a good book, gazing out to sea and watching the cruise ships go by….a most relaxing Jamaican holiday at an affordable price.
The villa is very well located to all the activities you would want on your vacation including sailing, boat rentals, kayaks, water skiing, snorkeling, sunfish sailboats, deep sea fishing, windsurfing, jet skiing, SCUBA diving and much more.
A short 25 minute drive are all the attractions of Ocho Rios, local craft markets, art galleries, duty free shopping, swimming with the Dolphins at Dolphin Cove, Jamaicas famous Dunns River Falls, the new and innovative shopping center, Island Village with cinemas and the famous Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville where the action never stops, day and night.
Spanish Cove is the epitome of a Caribbean beach house tucked in the center of the small busy town of Runaway Bay. Built-in classic Jamaican style with Jalousie windows, a wide verandah, and beautiful decorative fan lights throughout, Spanish Cove is a charming clapperboard beach cottage that exudes charm. This lovely seafront property shares the beach with Hidden Bay and combined they can accommodate larger parties.
Plenty of comfortable seating areas on the upper and lower-level verandas. Comfortable chaise lounges adorn the pool terrace and beach as well so you can enjoy the 180-degree view of the sea. Pure relaxation!
After passing through its cottage-style garden into the entrance hall which features beautiful decorative fanlights above each doorway, you are reminded of an architecture synonymous with the Caribbean and its views to the sea beyond.
The interior design is white with dark brown mahogany furniture, plenty of open spaces, and large windows to let the light stream in. Walking through the villa to the large covered verandah allows you to gaze over the expansive view of the Caribbean Sea. This is the perfect location for dining or relaxing on crisp white sofas. The lush green lawn leads to the pool area on the east side with a wide sundeck, casual seating area, and a pool-side wet bar.
Conveniently located on the beach is a picnic table for lunches, sun loungers, and a hammock for afternoon relaxation.
There are two bedrooms on the upper level, a comfortable sitting room inside, and a large verandah that spans the front of the villa with dining and comfortable seating areas. This is a place to spend time with a book, playing cards or just watching the world go by.
On the lower level, there are two more bedrooms with a connecting door making them an excellent choice for parents with small children. Both bedrooms have double doors opening to the sea and a small seating area for savoring a quiet start to the day with an early morning coffee.
The service is excellent! Whether you are a foodie or not, you will appreciate your Chef’s fabulous food and beautiful presentations. His food tastes as good as it looks! Spanish Cove is inside, outside beach living at its very best.
